White Kottabos

Kottabos was the name of an Etruscan wine game played during banquets.


Uve: Chardonnay, Trebbiano.      Alc. 13,00%


This wine contains a greater percentage of Chardonnay and is grown in the hills around Cereta which are rich in  calcium. The fruit itself which is full of  minerals and has a firm body, is fermented in small French oak barrels for a duration of around 40/45 days. In this period the must merges with the aroma of this noble timber, giving the wine a wooden scent by heightening its bouquet and intensifying its body.

 

Ideally it is served at 10°/12° degrees with refined seafood or white meat dishes, mushrooms and grilled vegetables.
