Red Giacchè
An ancient and local grape salvaged and skilfully reproduced which expresses the very essence of this ancient land and lends itself so naturally to the winemaking process.
Uve: Giacchè Alc. 14,00%
Its low production quantities, difficult growing conditions, intense colour, typical wild bouquet and very particular structure resulted in almost the complete abandonment of its cultivation, leaving it to be substituted by more productive but lower quality grapes. Thankfully, a few remaining vines were salvaged from the abandoned plants of this particularly dry land and through a careful re-grafting process, this ancient grape was finally salvaged and brought back to vigorous life and production.
Its late harvest date endows it with the evocative scent of ancient aromas and forest fruits. Hints of aromatic sour cherry and morello jam distinguish this wine from all others, giving this product its own specific, almost unique, identity.
With a recommended serving temperature of 18° degrees, it is ideal with rich game and strong cheese dishes.
